Production Manager
Arizona Broadway Theatre, Phoenix’s newest professional theatre company is seeking a qualified individual to fill a permanent, full time salaried position to head an expanding production department producing 7 – 8 large scale musicals each year. This person will work under the guidance of the Executive and Artistic Director. Qualified candidates should have an MFA or a minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in theatrical management experience. Position requires a solid background in all areas of management, production and design as well as exceptional organizational, leadership, problem solving and human resource skills. The Production Manager will be responsible for the contracting designers and staff, facilitate communication between designers and staff, create realistic production time table, budgeting and coordinate rental events. Scenic Carpenter-Arizona Broadway Theatre, Phoenix’s newest professional theatre, seeks a Scenic Carpenter to fill a permanent, full time salaried position. Applicants should have a BA and a minimum of three years of professional theatre experience. Strong carpentry skills and a valid driver’s license are required. Experience in structural welding and rigging is desirable. Duties include construction, load-in and strike of all ABT shows. Sound Designer/Board Engineer - Arizona Broadway Theatre, Phoenix’s newest professional theatre, is accepting resumes for a full time Resident Sound Designer/Board Engineer. The position requires expertise in creating and implementing sound effects and mood creation through collaboration with director and producers from concept to the stage, managing and/or executing the tech week pre-show set up, during show maintenance and post-show breakdown of all sound equipment including front of house, onstage and backstage monitors and all communications systems. Must have at least three years experience in professional audio mixing systems and a solid base in audio theory and implementation. Degree preferred. Stage Manager - Arizona Broadway Theatre, Phoenix’s newest professional theatre, has an immediate opening for a non-AEA Stage Manager for a 3 show contracted position with potential for full time. Qualified candidates should have a minimum 3-5 years professional experience in stage management and a bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre, Stage Management or the equivalent. Responsibilities include supervision of the cast and crew, organization and running of all rehearsals and calling and maintenance of the production. Candidate must have strong organizational and management skills, the ability to work well with different types of personalities, and to function calmly under pressure. Pay will be based on experience and housing can be provided.
